Our January store window: after the lushness of the Christmas season, a spare minimalist look seemed in order. The branches were among piles left by city tree trimmers. I stopped when I saw them on the way home from picking my little guy up from school, and while I was standing there holding two up to inspect them, a car stopped, rolled down its window, and someone called from inside “I think you should take them!” Done. Hanging from the branches are sparkly snowflakes, and I strung snowflake lights along the back. The clothes are in shades of blue and gray.
